Enrollment procedures
  • - The student must first confirm the subjects offered for the semester from the timetables offered by the department, and must afterward place their requests for enrollment through the SUIS.
  • - Web page: http://www.seoultech.ac.kr → Portal → SUIS → Student Affairs → Classes → Enrollment
  • - For new and transfer students, the password to their account is set initially as their date of birth in a six-digit format. Students must change their initial password immediately after logging into the portal via My Page > Password Change on the upper side of the portal.

① Students with more than nine credits completed in the semester immediately before and a CGPA of 4.0 or above
② Students with joint or multiple-degree programs in accordance with academic exchange agreements made with universities outside Korea
Special Graduate School No more than nine credits (Credit applications toward prerequisites, thesis, and research projects are not included in this requirement.)  
Professional Graduate School No more than nine credits (Credit applications toward prerequisites, thesis, and research projects are not included in this requirement.) ① Students enrolled in the Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology must complete a minimum of three credits for the master’s program and six credits for the doctor’s program in other majors within the Graduate School.
(However, international students are exempted from this requirement.)
Enrolling in paper research sessions
  • - Students must only enroll in sessions opened by their department.
  • - An enrollment request is placed directly to the supervising professor. In the absence of the supervising professor (because of a sabbatical or international visit and other reasons), an enrollment request must be placed to the substitute professor designated by the supervising professor.
  • - Duration of course application (Industry and Engineering, Housing and Urban Planning, Public Policy and IT, Nano IT Design Fusion,Convergence Science : May only be placed during the 3rd semester)
  • · [Graduate School] Students must enroll in Paper Research Ⅰ in their 3rd semester and Paper Research Ⅱ in their 4th semester.
  • · [Graduate School of Industry and Engineering] Students must enroll in Paper Research Ⅰ in their 4th semester and Paper Research Ⅱ in their 5th semester.
  • · [Graduate School of Housing and Urban Planning] Enrolled students : Take a thesis research course in the 5th semester.
  •                                                                                                                   Entrance students after the second semester of 2019 :  thesis research classes 1,2 from the 4th semester.
  • · [Graduate School of Railway] Master students must enroll in Paper Research in their 4th semester, while doctoral students must do so in their 5th semester. On the other hand, students of integrated programs must do so in their 8th semester.
  • · [Graduate School of Public Policy and IT, Convergence Science, NID Fusion Technology] Take a dissertation research course 1, 2 from 3rd semester of master's degree, 4th semester of Ph.D., and 7th semester of master's and doctorate integration.
  • Master students must enroll in Paper Research sessions from their 3rd semester, while doctoral students must do so from their 4th semester onward. On the other hand, students of integrated programs must do so starting from their 7th semester.
Caution
  • - Students may only retake courses with grades below C+. The highest grade a student may acquire through retaking is A°, and the grade obtained at the previous class will be deleted from his/her transcript.
  • - Credits retaken for the identical course will not be counted toward graduation.
  • - Intra–degree (Master’s ※ Master’s) and inter–degree (Master’s ※ Doctor’s)
  • - Students with prerequisite requirements must submit the application for prerequisite subjects to the department office (must be completed before the 3rd semester).
  • - Students seeking to enroll in courses that are offered in other graduate schools within Seoultech may do so for no more than nine credits by making a direct application within the SUIS. The completed credits will be recognized as credits taken at Seoultech (University Regulations Article 90; courses related to entrepreneurship are exempt from this restriction for up to six credits).
  • - Students should make sure to print out their Personal Enrollment Certificate after their enrollment is completed. After the start of classes, students should also take care to confirm any changes in their schedule with the department office or the Administrative Office to prevent any disruptions in teaching activity.
  • - Make sure to confirm your taken credits and major requirements before completing your enrollment.
  • ※ The academic curriculum of Seoultech is divided into Common Core, Major Requirements, and Major Electives, and in case of changes to the Common Core requirements due to academic revision and other reasons, students must complete any Common Core subjects that have not been changed since their admission.
  • - Subjects selected during the preenrollment process may be changed during the add-or-drop period after the start of the semester (students may not change their enrollment without prior notice).
  • - Paper exemption for the Graduate School of Industry: Students applying for this exemption must apply for more than nine credit points in subjects that replace the Paper Research sessions (students applying for this exemption are not allowed to enroll in Paper Research sessions).
  • - Specialized graduate school students applying for the non-dissertation program (Graduate School of Industry/Housing): Must complete courses of 9 or more additional credits to replace dissertation research courses. (Cannot enroll in dissertation research courses. Non-dissertation program students in the Department of Built Environment and Building Service Engineering excluded.)
  • - Professional graduate school students applying for the non-dissertation program: Additional credits for dissertation research alternative courses must be completed. (6 credits for the Graduate School of Railway, 9 credits for Graduate Schools of IT Policy/Convergence Science/Nano IT Design Convergence) (Cannot enroll in dissertation research courses. Only applicable to professional degree program students)
