Professor Roh Yong-jin’s research team from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University of Science and Technology—including Master’s student Choi Jin-hyuk (Graduate School of Business Administration) and Ph.D. candidate Jo Kyu-jun (Department of Humanities and Business Administration)—received the Excellent Paper Award.

On June 25, 2025, the Korean Society of Labor Relations selected two outstanding papers published in the 2024 volume of the journal Industrial Relations Research. Among them was Professor Roh’s team’s paper titled “Influencing Factors of Employee Innovation Activities: Application of the AMO (Ability-Motivation-Opportunity) Perspective.”

The study analyzed factors affecting employee innovative behavior using the AMO framework, finding that innovation training and innovative work organization positively influenced innovation activities, whereas innovation rewards showed no significant effect. The AMO factors were found to mediate the impact of institutional elements.
