SeoulTech College of Creativity and Convergence Studies Professor Kim Yeon-eung (Dept. of AI Applications) will participate as a panelist and speaker in the popular math lecture series "No Bad Math in the World" produced by the KAOS Foundation.
KAOS is a public foundation that pursues "Science, Knowledge, Sharing." It was established as a non-profit organization with the support of Lee Ki-hyung, founder of Interpark Corporation and CEO of Gradient Corporation, to practice sharing scientific knowledge. Each year, KAOS selects a topic from physics, chemistry, or biology and produces a popular lecture series featuring experts.
KAOS Science is a channel dedicated to "basic science." It introduces various topics in natural sciences, such as physics, astronomy, chemistry, life sciences, earth sciences, and mathematics, in an engaging manner. It aims to help viewers appreciate the importance of basic science and scientific thinking.
By bringing scientists from labs and research facilities to the stage, KAOS allows the public to hear directly about their research. The series also includes interviews with scientists and tours of laboratories and research facilities, providing a vivid glimpse into the world of science.
Professor Kim, along with former President of Ajou University and Distinguished Professor Park Hyung-ju (Dept. of Mathematics), Incheon University Professor Lee Seung-jai (Dept. of Mathematics), and former JTBC executive and producer Shin Ye-ri ("Differing Classes"), are among the regular panel members for "No Bad Math in the World." Each episode also features different speakers depending on the topic.
"No Bad Math in the World" videos will be uploaded twice weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) starting in early May.
