Communicating with parents through 'ST LIVE-2023 University Admissions and Career Concert'

Introducing admissions screening and preparation strategies for applicants and parents through an interactive live broadcast

Seoul National University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as SeoulTech) held an interactive online live broadcast, ‘ST LIVE – 2023 University Admissions and Career Concert,’ on the SeoulTech YouTube channel and Zoom at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd. ‘ST LIVE,’ which was held at SeoulTech’s ST Studio, is part of the ‘Parent Education Participation System,’ which provides parents with important information on SeoulTech so that both parents and the university may support the each student’s career search.
 

Apart from applicants and parents, Jaehyeop Shin, the provost of Admissions and an alumnus of SeoulTech, the head of the admissions team, and admissions officers all participated in the program as well. The program featured segments on the major features of the 2023 university admissions, 2022 SeoulTech admissions results analysis, and guidance on SeoulTech’s rolling admissions selection and preparation strategy. A question-and-answer period was held as well.

SeoulTech plans to select 1,479 students, or about 62% of the 2,378 new recruits through rolling admissions for the 2023 school year. The number of applicants for each selection will be as follows: 416 students (17.4%) for high school recommendation selection, 805 students (33.8%) for comprehensive undergraduate selection, 190 students (7.9%) for essay writing selection , and 68 students (2.8%) for skills performance selection. The comprehensive undergraduate selection includes the school life excellence selection, advanced talent selection, and the equal opportunity selection. The recruitment period is from Tuesday, September 13 until Saturday, September 17.
