Introduction
Office of International Affairs for SeoulTech students with a “passion” and an “ambition!”
The Office of International Affairs was established on December 1, 1999 to efficiently respond to the era of globalization by integrating international exchange affairs that have been previously dispersed across department and majors.

The educational need that is newly inferred by the characteristics of the modern society and the technology that supports this phenomenon have broken the traditional role and meaning of education for humankind and society to newly define learning as a continuous process of life instead of a certain part of human life. This is why the society increasingly demands that universities become more open and multifunctional. As of June 1, 2007, we have established an MOU with 37 schools in 16 countries to promote international exchanges and cooperation. An exchange program that was established with the University of Missouri, Michigan Technological University, California Institute of Technology, Montclair State University, Gifu University, Kainan University, EVTEK University of Applied Sciences, and the Czech Technical University in Prague contributes to the academic and cultural diversity and advanced learning of students.

Furthermore, to boost the international competitiveness of the SNUST, sisterhood relationships are actively established with foreign schools. Through a full support for the overseas exchange of students and professors, holding of international conferences, visitations by the deans of foreign universities, and exchange promotion programs, the Office of International Education is contributing to the enhancement of the international prestige of the SNUST.

The Language Education Team was established with the goal of promoting linguistic research and education toward the ability of our students to engage in foreign languages and thereby respond fluidly to the needs of the globalized age of the 21st century. It offers regular courses, language skill evaluations, and free language training programs for the needs of our students.

All the members of the Office of International Affairs endeavor to produce talented individuals who are equipped with cultural diversity and an international perspective through various exchange programs. Ultimately, we will largely contribute to the production of “talented individuals with international minds” through such efforts.
