Four Teams from the Computer Engineering Graduate School Major Publish Research Papers in SCI Journals

Computer Engineering Major Professor Park Jong Hyuk held a special course on blockchain at the graduate school level during the first semester of 2019.

Seven international students and 10 Korean master’s and doctorate-level students participated in the course in which weekly debates on published papers in journals and magazines were held as well as discussions on the basic concepts and applications of blockchain, a key technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Students were divided into four teams and wrote papers to publish in SCI journals by proposing new ideas on blockchain-based applications, and all four teams received confirmations that their papers would be published. The titles and information on the journals are as follows:

Blockchain-Based Secure Device Management Framework for an Internet of Things Network in a Smart City (Sustainability, IF: 2.592)

Blockchain-Based Secure Storage Management with Edge Computing for IoT (Electronics, IF: 1.764)

Smart Contract-Based Pool Hopping Attack Prevention for Blockchain Networks (Symmetry, IF: 2.143)

A Lightweight Hash-Based Blockchain Architecture for Industrial IoT (Applied Sciences, IF: 2.217)

Professor Park Jong Hyuk is conducting research with 10 graduate school students on IoT, blockchain, information security, and other subjects and will also offer a graduate-level course on IoT Security Theory.
