SeoulTech and Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information Join Forces for Joint Research Using Supercomputers
Institutions sign an MOU to cultivate professionals for the Fourth Industrial Revolution

 


SeoulTech and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI, President Choi Hee Yoon) signed an MOU to cultivate professionals for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the SeoulTech President’s Office on February 6th.

 

The heads of the two institutions and 10 other distinguished representatives attended the signing ceremony. The MOU was signed to cultivate engineering professionals to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution by increasing the national competitiveness of science and technology and R&D efficiency by performing joint research using KISTI’s supercomputers.

 

The two institutions plan to cooperate on strengthening the competitiveness of research and study activities by using research data and supercomputer infrastructure. They will also nurture professionals and enhance their adaptive capabilities to state-of-the-art scientific technology by supporting convergence and fusion infrastructure for scientific convergence platforms. Moreover, the institutions will provide educational programs by means of academic research networks through mentoring, study activities, and joint research projects under the newly signed MOU.

 

SeoulTech President Lee Dong Hoon said, “We have great expectations in being able to use KISTI’s supercomputers and research data. We will do our best in cultivating professionals prepared to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

 

 

KISTI President Choi Hee Yoon said, “Through the newly signed MOU, we will cooperate together to make sure that government funded research institutions can further support the cultivation of future professionals and elevation of competitiveness in science and technology. We will further strengthen our exchanges in order to further develop with SeoulTech.”
