Doctorate Program Candidate Thai Thanh Tuan Places Second in the Virtual Try-On Challenge

SeoulTech Electrical Information Engineering major’s doctoral candidate Thai Thanh Tuan placed second in the 2020 IEEE CVPR 4th Look Into Person (LIP) Challenge - Track 3 Image Based Multi-Pose Virtual Try-On Challenge held in Seattle, Washington.

CVPR is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in computer vision. Moreover, Professor Ahn Hee Joon’s team presented two papers at the CVPR’s Computer Vision for Fashion, Art, and Design workshop.

The research was based on the research foundation’s base research projects (Automatic Outfit and Virtual Try-On Technology in Online Shopping Malls, Research Lead Professor Ahn Hee Joon) and has high commercial potential by combining consumer images with clothing using computer vision and deep-learning image creation technology.
