The Nowon Green Campus Town Project Group holds an appointment ceremony for Nowon Green Governance

 - Discussion of future plans of the Nowon Green Campus Town and local cooperation.

 - Spreading a start-up culture, and creating a cultural street in the Gyeongchun Railway Forest Street Park.

□ On Friday July 26 2019, the Nowon Green Campus Town Project Group (SeoulTech, Samyook University, and Seoul Women's University) held an appointment ceremony and regular meeting for the Nowon Green Governance—a consulting group  consisting of the private, governmental, and academic sectors—at SeoulTech.

□ The Nowon Green Governance has been established to form a close cooperative system that aims to use university resources for the development of local society and to seek cooperation between local residents, representatives of local institutions, the city and district council members, and students and professors of the three universities.

□ In the first meeting, the group introduced the Campus Town Project, distributed letters of appointment, discussed the roles and future plans of the governance, and reviewed local cooperation cases.

□ In his welcome message, Cho Chi-wung, the leader of the Nowon Green Campus Town Group, said, “We express our gratitude to all the governance members who have paid attention to the Campus Town Project. We hope that the project will be successfully promoted through the cooperative relationship between the universities and the local community.”

□ The Nowon Green Campus Town Project will be conducted over three years, starting from 2019, as a campus town program supervised by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Based on the 6^th industry, start-ups will be fostered, and education and local culture will be promoted to spread a start-up culture suitable for the “healing city” of NOWON. Additionally, a cultural street near the Gyeongchun Railway Forest Street Park will be established.
