SeoulTech Selected as the Best University in Environmental Studies by the Industrial University Review for the Second Time
SeoulTech was selected as the best university in environmental studies for the second year at the 2018 Industrial University Review held by the Ministry of Education and the Korea University Education Committee on April 24th. SeoulTech also received the honor in 2014 and this is the second time to receive such an honor.
The Industrial University Review rates the educational curricula of academic institutions by professional capabilities and industrial standards and has been operated by the Ministry of Education and the five main economic organizations in Korea since 2008. In 2018, the 85 majors of 59 universities (Environmental, Energy, Biomedical, Biomedical Equipment, Marketing) were reviewed with 24 majors from 22 universities receiving the Best University Award. SeoulTech was awarded the Best University Award along with nine other universities including Konkuk University, Gwangwoon University, Jeonbuk University, and Choongnam University.
SeoulTech’s Environmental Engineering Major continues to receive accolades for its industrial-based academic curriculum along with its 3+1 Professional Training, MPBL program, and operation of an industrial academic program with 120 companies in various fields such as atmospheric environment and bio environments.
Environmental Engineering major head Lee Tae Jin said that this year’s result was due to a continuous effort to invest in close relationships with the industry and making sure that students had access to academic programs that were able to meet quickly changing industrial standards in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
