Title SeoulTech selected for ‘2022 University Support Project to Contribute to Revitalization of High School Education’

Seoul National University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as SeoulTech) was selected for the ‘2022 University Support Project to Contribute to Revitalization of High School Education.’ SeoulTech is led by President Donghoon Lee. The ‘University Support Project to Contribute to Revitalization of High School Education’ encourages a fair and transparent university admissions process, while selecting and supporting universities that contribute to easing the admission burden of students and parents by considering the high school curriculum in the evaluation process. SeoulTech plans to use the budget of 686 million KRW secured this year for  to expand support for high school education, by supporting the high school credit system linked to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, mock admissions, admission academy for parents, and an academic support program for students with demonstrated financial need.

 

SeoulTech has been continuously promoting the simplification of the university admission process and is striving to secure fairness in entrance exams by introducing a systematic admissions fairness verification system and providing various information to increase the likelihood of a candidate’s admission.

 

In particular, SeoulTech received positive reviews with regard to its efforts as a national university in expanding academic opportunities for those that are socially vulnerable, with the ratio of recruitment for balanced opportunity and balanced regional admission reaching 34.9% of the total recruitment. In addition, SeoulTech was evaluated highly according to the criterion of securing admissions officers with expertise in the comprehensive undergraduate admissions process and stabilizing their employment status.
