- Retirement celebrated by 14 professors who dedicated themselves to students and university development  
- Ceremony featured awarding of government accolades, plaques of merit, appointment of professors emeriti, and retirement speeches 

 
A retirement ceremony for 14 retiring faculty members was held by SeoulTech at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31st in the third-floor conference room of the Administration Building.

The retiring professors included Gui-Hyung Lee (Dept. of Mechanical System Design Engineering), Seong-Yong Jang (Dept. of Industrial and Systems Engineering), Hong-keun Yoon (Dept. of Public Administration), Kangwon Lee (Dept. of Industrial and Systems Engineering), Younghan Lee (School of Architecture), Kanghyun Chung (Dept. of Food Science and Technology), Sunghoon Kim (Dept. of Civil Engineering), Sungho Lee (Dept. of Electronic and IT Media Engineering), Hee-won Lee (Dept. of English Language and Literature), Chulho Kim (Dept. of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering), Wook-Inn Paik (School of Liberal Arts), Young-jun Ko (Dept. of Design), Jeongseo Koo (Dept. of Railway Safety Engineering), and Jung-Gu Park (Dept. of Energy Policy).

The event was attended by Professor Gui-Hyung Lee and 11 other retiring faculty members, along with university president Donghoon Lee, president of Academic Affairs Sunghwan Kim, and president of Research and Planning Affairs Mijung Park. The retiring faculty were recognized with medals, plaques of merit, and appointments as professors emeriti.

“Although the professors are leaving behind the campus they hold so dear, the hard work and devotion they have put into the university will continue to be passed on to younger generations," said President Donghoon Lee. He added, "We intend to follow the example of these professors and dedicate ourselves even more to the development of the university and education."
