‘Stance,’ SeoulTech’s First Technology Subsidiary is Established
The SeoulTech Technology Corporation CEO Kim Sun Min announced that it had acquired shares in Stance Corporation, a software company specializing in AR/VR technology, and that the company would be its first subsidiary at its board of directors meeting held on January 7th at the SeoulTech President’s Office.
SeoulTech President Kim Jong Ho, SeoulTech Research and Business Vice President Lee Dong Hoon, SeoulTech Technology Corporation CEO Kim Sun Min and auditor Jung Chang Mo participated in the board of directors meeting and celebrated the establishment of the first SeoulTech Technology Corporation subsidiary.
President Kim Jong Ho said. “SeoulTech will continue to support campus efforts to develop technologies and ideas by providing a testbed for the products created by the corporation at our campus.”
Stance Corporation was created by Dr. Jeon Ji Hye, who also conducted research with SeoulTech Professor Park Gu Man, in March 2017. The company was selected as a 2018 Entrepreneurship University Business. It is currently operating out of the SeoulTech Entrepreneurship Support Center.
Stance Corporation mainly produces AR/VR content and video analysis software and has received certifications from venture capital companies, female led companies and corporate research institutes. In addition, its revenue and number of employees doubled in between 2017 and 2018 and the company received the Gyeonggi Regional SMEs and Startups Award in October 2018.
Stance plans to create educational products such as AR content and applications that allow students to safely and realistically experience their educational content.
