A High-Quality Cultural Space, ST’art Hall, Opens in the Central Library
The SeoulTech library held an opening ceremony for the ST’art Hall located within the Central Library on March 23rd. President Kim Jong Ho attended the ceremony along with former Presidents Yoon Jin Sik, Noh Joon Hyung, and Nam Goong Geun, and other distinguished guests, faculty members, and students.
The ST’art Hall was created as a 369-㎡ area on the first floor of the Central Library based on student recommendations and as part of the Library Environment Renovation Project run from January 2016 to March 2017. It will host various cultural and artistic events, including music sessions, talk shows, lectures from distinguished speakers, literary debates, etc. It is expected to be a place that represents a free and creative educational research environment that is open to the local community and fits the purpose and mission of the SeoulTech library.
Head Librarian Lee Hee Won said, “The opening of the ST’art Hall will add a high-quality cultural space for students and local community members right next to a place where they can study and conduct research. We hope that the ST’art Hall will become a place of rest and imagination for our students and faculty members.”
Inquiries about the use of the ST’art Hall can be directed to the SeoulTech Library (☎ 02-970-9031).
