Seoul Tech’s central Ski Club, which is commemorating its 25th anniversary this year, won the “Overall Victory” at the “70th National University Ski Contest,” which was held in Yong Pyong Resort on January 26 and was organized by the Korea University Ski Team Association (KUSTA, Chairperson Park Seon-jeong).

KUSTA is a large association that consists of about 40 Korean universities, and the National University Ski Contest is held for about six weeks from January, when university vacations start nationwide. During the contest, the students stay together at a ski resort, hone their ski-riding skills, and compete. During the 70th contest this time around, Seoul Tech had the honor of winning the top place, followed by Chung-Ang University.

“It is all thanks to each member of the Ski Club having worked hard despite a poor environment,” said Choi Jeong-hwan, the head of Seoul Tech’s Ski Club. “It is all the more meaningful as it was our first victory in 25 years since the establishment of the club, and I am all the more pleased that we beat existing strong teams of physical education universities, among others, and won,” he continued.
