Human Resources Development Center Hosts Awards Ceremony for the Field Practice Experience Essay Contest
60 awardees selected including the grand prize (1 person), excellence prize (2 people), merit prize (8 people) and participation prizes (49 people)
SeoulTech Human Resources Development Center hosted the awards ceremony for the Filed Practice Experience Essay Contest at the Field Practice Support Center on June 17.
The awards ceremony was hosted to award the 2018 Second Field Practice Experience (Internship) Essay Contest with Human Resources Development Center Head Park Sae Hyuk, Vice-Head No Hye Ran and 20 other people attending the ceremony. The contest was held for 339 students (174 long-term students, 165 short-term students) who participated in the 2018 Co-op education and winter short-term filed practice program.

A total of 60 people (one grand prize, two excellence prizes, eight merit prizes and 49 participation prizes) were selected with 11 students attending the ceremony. The awardees received certificates and scholarships.

Kim Hyun Sik , who participated in the long-term filed practice experience program with Hanmi Entec, received the grand prize. He said, “I was able to learn a lot of practical experience that I would be unable to learn at school and hope that students who want to participate in the program select the long-term program over the short-term program.”

Human Resources Development Head Park Sae Hyuk said, “Through the field practice program, our students are participating in a variety of workplaces such as venture companies, construction sites, the KIST lab and other places, with students securing employment or continuing to graduate school. We will work to create more diverse programs that allow for career development and the training of skilled professionals.”
SeoulTech Human Resources Development Center’s Field Practice Support Center connects students and companies with short-term experiences for 4-8 weeks and co-op internships for 4-6 months. Students can check information on companies at http://internship.seoultech.ac.kr and apply for a position that best suits their skills.
